Gone are the days of diagnosing system issues alone and manually loading update CDs, at least that’s the case for the thousands of Sage Software clients taking advantage of its Remote Monitoring System (RMS). This innovative system allows two-way communication for Sage Software and its clients in order to prevent support issues, speed installation processes and improve product performance.

Proactive monitoring improves system health
Measuring key system events provides Sage Software’s support team with critical system information about a client’s application or host server. Serving as an early warning device, this information can prevent or minimize many host and application errors from occurring on a customer’s system.

This proactive approach reduces system downtime and improves system reliability by:

  • Providing a single point of management for distributing product updates. Customers control when updates are applied.
  • Alerting users and support of backup failures and other critical system errors
  • Reporting on the amount of storage space used/available

Ease of updating makes for ease of use
Clients enabled with RMS benefit from automated updates to solve a variety of issues such as Daylight Savings Time changes and NPI format updates.

“We analyzed the electronic claims formats for about 1600 Intergy by Sage sites that were using RMS and subsequently replaced about 1450 (those with no customizations) with NPI-ready electronic claim formats in a matter of days.  This eliminated the need for those clients to have their formats manually analyzed and replaced, as was the case with those sites not on RMS,” said Justin Smith, Sage Software Business Analyst, when asked how RMS sped the delivery of NPI formats.

Reaching out for better product usage
Recently Sage Software used RMS to inform customers of an unused feature within their Electronic Health Record system. First the company utilized RMS to determine which Intergy EHR by Sage clients weren’t currently using the system’s built in e-Prescribing refill feature. Then the company reached out to these customers to invite them to an informative webinar about how to utilize the feature to save time and resources.

Utilizing RMS in this way allowed numerous Sage Software clients to make better use of Intergy EHR without purchasing any additional software or services.
